Svenska Spel and the Swedish Ski Association have signed a long-term deal that makes Svenska Spel a new presentation partner to the long-distance team.

The new seven-year agreement includes, among other things, an extra investment in young talent and is worth just over SEK80m (£6.67m).

Längdlandslaget is one of Sweden's most popular national teams with skaters including Charlotte Kalla, Stina Nilsson, Frida Karlsson, Jens Burman and Calle Halfvarsson.

Ola Strömberg, head of the Swedish Ski Federation, said: “Svenska Spel has a long-term and great commitment to Swedish sports. Therefore, it feels very good to start a collaboration that gives the national team new opportunities.”

The agreement is valid from July 1 this year to June 30, 2026. The cooperation includes, among other things, an investment in the development team of the 24 young promising cross-country skiers aged 18-22, who now become a Team Svenska Spel.
