Svenska Spel Sport and Casino has halted all bets on Division Two South Svealand until further notice, as a result of the Swedish Football Association's request.

The move follows a high number of suspect matches in the competition.

Dan Korhonen, head of sports betting and gaming security at Svenska Spel Sport and Casino, said: “We work daily to ensure that the gaming objects we offer our customers are free from manipulation. In dialogue with the Football Association, we have expressed our concern about Division Two Södra Svealand and when the number of suspect matches is so many that the integrity of the entire series can be questioned, we see no other solution is to stop all games. “Svenska Spel works on the basis of a precautionary principle to ensure the highest possible game security and integrity on the offered gaming objects and will never give up the fight against match fixing.”
