Gisele Bündchen, environmental activist, philanthropist and former supermodel, has become a special advisor to DraftKings.
The role that Bündchen will take will be to look after the esports games company’s policies towards environmental, social and governance initiatives.
Jason Robins, CEO of DraftKings, said: “Gisele is a global icon who has utilised the platform she established in modelling, fashion and entertainment to lead and advocate on vital environmental and social causes. I believe that the strategic counsel and global perspective that Gisele brings to the board will be indispensable.”
The news came as the company released its inaugural ESG report. The company is committed to fighting global sustainable development challenges, including climate change, in alignment with the UN’s sustainability development goals.
