Eight victorious winners took home either seven or eight-figure jackpots during the period, equating to more than €43m in winnings, and a further 380 players pocketed €10,000 or more.

On January 30, 2019, a Zodiac Casino player scooped the largest jackpot win of the year so far – the third-highest payout in Microgaming’s history – when €13,328,028.16 was won through Mega Moolah, a five-reel, 25 payline wild Africa themed progressive online slot.

While generating other notable payouts, the network created two multi-millionaires in as many days when a €11,546,388.15 prize was won on March 5 and a €2,201,120.31 jackpot was claimed the following day. More recently, wins of €5,430,849.65 (May 3), €5,673,937.78 (May 23) and €3,034,204.84 (June 17) were paid out in lump sums, as with all wins on the network.

John Coleman, CEO at Microgaming, said: “2019 is gearing up to be a great year for Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network, with total lifetime payouts fast approaching the €1.1 billion mark. Congratulations to all winning players on the network, which remains the largest in the industry and features the record-breaking Mega Moolah progressive slot. We look forward to hosting more life-changing wins in the second half of the year.”
