Sports betting revenue in Kansas, US, across both online and retail operators, rose by over 25 per cent year-on-year in April, with an increase of 64 per cent recorded from March.

Total revenue for the month hit US$13.2m, up from $10.4m in April 2024 and up from $8m in March.
Total betting handle across retail and online in April was $208.8m, up 8.7 per cent year-on-year from $192.1m but down 15.9 per cent month-on-month from March’s $248.4m.
With Kansas’ 10 per cent tax rate on sports betting, tax revenues were $1.3m in April, up from March’s $1m and rising month-on-month from March’s $803,032.
Mobile betting accounted for $12.7m of the $13.2m in total revenue in Kansas in April, with retail betting generating the remaining $427,193.
Mobile handle was $204.5m, with Kansas recording a further $4.3m in retail bets.
DraftKings was the top-performing operator for online handle, the brand taking $92.2m in bets ahead of FanDuel’s $67.9m.
DraftKings therefore generated more mobile betting revenue ($7m) in April than the Flutter Entertainment brand ($3.3m).
