Sports betting revenue across online and retail sportsbooks in Kansas, US, rose 12.4 per cent year-on-year in March.

The latest report from the Kansas Lottery showed March 2025 revenue hit US$8m, up from $7.1m in March 2024. Month-on-month, though, there was a revenue decline of 66.5 per cent from the $23.9m posted in February.

Online betting contributed $7.9m of the revenue, with retail accounting for the remaining $164,568.

As for sports betting handle in Kansas, the March 2025 figure was $248.4m, with online contributing $241.7m and retail $6.7m.

Total handle was down 1.8 per cent year-on-year from $252.9m in March 2024 but up 14.9 per cent from February 2025’s $216.2m.

The state of Kansas generated $803,032 in taxes in the latest month.

DraftKings was the top-performing online sportsbook in Kansas in February, generating handle of $101.5m and revenue of $3.9m, ahead of FanDuel, which pulled in handle of $85.4m and revenues of $2.3m.

However, in retail, it was ESPN Bet who posted the most handle at $4.2m, ahead of FanDuel ($1.1m) and Caesars ($913,772). DraftKings’ retail handle was $494,527.

ESPN Bet also made the most retail revenue at $135,945.
