Fanatics Betting and Gaming has launched its sportsbook in Virginia as it continues the migration of PointsBet customers.

Fanatics bought PointsBet’s US arm for US$225m earlier this year and is replacing the Australia and Canada-focused operator in 14 US states.
Virginia is the latest state Fanatics is entering and the company is inviting existing PointsBet customers there to download the Fanatics Sportsbook app on iOS or Android devices to begin their migration.
Fanatics is hosting a Rewards Surge to mark its entrance into The Old Dominion State, featuring a range of sports betting promotions.
Fanatics is battling fellow newcomer ESPN Bet for sports betting market share in the US. ESPN Bet has been launched by Penn Entertainment in a $1.5bn deal and went live on November 14.
The battle between the two companies was the topic of a recent discussion among market experts in London.
