The Dutch Gaming Authority has imposed a fine of 350,000 euros on Gibraltar-based ElectraWorks, which offers online gambling through its website bwin.com.
Research by the KSA found that at least for a certain period of time online games of chance, sports betting and live casino games were offered at bwin.com, with a focus on Dutch customers evident by the use of payment method iDEAL.
As yet, there are no licences available for online gambling in the Netherlands. The Remote Gambling Act probably makes it possible from January 1, 2021, to offer legal online gambling with a license from the KSA.
