Fifty per cent of the shares in software development company JDP Tech has been acquired by Betsson.
JDP Tech owns the proprietary technology platform for handling payments in Latin America. The consideration was €8.8m.
The acquisition permits Betsson to secure customer payment flows for the continued expansion of the company in Latin America where Betsson has been active, notably in Peru and Brazil through the acquisition of Suaposta and Colombia through the acquisition of Colbet. It has recently announced a partnership in Mexico.
Betsson is a specialist operator of online gaming and is one of the largest in that sector in Europe.
