Colombian sports betting operator BetPlay has introduced a new service enabling bettors to wager through their television without the need for a second device.

The partnership with payments provider Tappp will allow users to log into their BetPlay account, place bets and review bet history on-screen using their television remote.
The service is available for matches in Colombian football’s first division, for which BetPlay has naming rights.
"We know that integration with a live broadcast is the best vehicle for lifting our marketing, conversion and engagement rates," said Germán Segura, CEO of BetPlay. "We are creating a seamless, immersive betting experience that enhances the way fans engage with Liga BetPlay Dimayor."
The companies said more content, features and “smarter personalisation” will be added as the football season continues.
“We are bringing the betting experience closer to fans, especially during live sports broadcasts," said Sandy Agarwal, founder and CEO of Tappp.
“Together with our partners, we have overcome a wide array of technical and UX challenges as well as the demands of compliance, security and latency to enable viewer-customised, single-screen transaction services."
