Paddy Power has been granted a preliminary finding of suitability to operate in Nevada, US, by the state’s Gaming Control Board.
The Irish bookmaker currently has no presence in the US but applied for a licence in Nevada last year after indicating interest in entering the market.
The Nevada Gaming Commission is set to rule on the board’s recommendation later this month.
Paddy Power launched a gaming site in Italy last month and provides online wagering technology to wagering sites in France and the British Columbia Lottery Corporation in Canada.
