The Isle of Man Post Office is constantly striving for new ways to generate new revenue streams by targeting new markets. As the online gaming industry has continued to boom, the company felt that now would be an ideal opportunity to become involved in a technologically advanced sector that still requires assistance with offline communication being sent to players.

Integrated Mailing Solutions (IMS) is the specialist business communications division of the Isle of Man Post Office, operating confidential and secure mail, scanning and print services. “Everything we do is designed to support businesses in imaginative, cost-effective ways, while keeping data and other material totally secure,” commercial director Lisa Duckworth told iNTERGAMINGi.

“The internationally recognised data security standard is the only ISO accreditation that really matters when it comes to dealing with data and we're the first printing, scanning and mailing specialist in the Isle of Man and Channel Islands to achieve it, having received ISO/IEC 27001:2005,” she added.

“We knew through our gaming partners that there might be opportunities available for us to promote IMS, therefore we attended the Barcelona Affiliate Conference in September 2011 and researched the market by talking to operators and other suppliers,” said Duckworth.

The response was overwhelming and through a variety of introductions the company secured a couple of contracts to carry out reactivation direct mail campaigns. It has now put a strategy in place and a comprehensive media plan together to aggressively target the i-gaming industry during Q1 2012 and start to raise its profile within what it considers to be a “dynamic and exciting” industry.

Through IMS, the Isle of Man Post Office has been assisting a variety of sectors, such as banking, with a secure and reliable direct mail service. Duckworth commented: “We are ISO/IEC 27001:2005 accredited and believe that we can combine our vast experience as a dedicated postal service with the extreme level of security that we have been awarded.”
