Wynn Interactive is one of 37 firms that have applied for an online gaming licence in New Jersey.
Despite having recently been quoted as describing Atlantic City’s casinos as “the enemy,” Steve Wynn’s company would have to partner with one of the city’s 12 casinos if it is to operate an online gaming licence in the Garden State.
Of the dozen bricks and mortar establishments in Atlantic City, at present only Revel and Atlantic Club do not have online partners.
Analysts estimate New Jersey’s online gaming market will be worth up to $1bn a year.
