Betclic Group and Banijay, FL’s content production and distribution arm, jointly helped that figure reach €4.05bn.

Assisted by football’s premier international tournament across November and December, unique active players for FL Entertainment increased 25 per cent year-on-year.

Adjusted EBITDA for the group rose by 10 per cent to €670.2m in 2022, resulting in an EBITDA margin of 16.6 per cent.

Adjusted net income climbed to €307m, up 8.6 per cent on FL’s efforts in 2021.

François Riahi, CEO of FL Entertainment, noted Betclic has been the “most downloaded sports betting app” in FL’s core markets of France, Poland and Portugal, as well as being the second most downloaded in Europe.

“Looking ahead we will capitalise on increased player numbers to drive continued organic growth at a high pace,” he added.

The group is eyeing double-digit organic growth for online sports betting and gaming in its 2023 objectives and mid-term outlook, as well as adjusted EBITDA of around €710m.
