Sports betting revenue and tax collections in Vermont, US, both fell by 22.9 per cent in June from May.
Revenue hit US$922,968, down from $1.2m in May.
Subsequent tax collections, the Vermont Department of Liquor and Lottery said, amounted to $294,847 in June, down from $382,430 in May.
June’s sports betting revenue in Vermont came from handle of $10m, down 20.3 per cent from May’s $12.6m.
Baseball, with $3.4m in bets, ranked as June’s most popular sport for wagering in Vermont.
The regulator said $7.5m in bets was made by residents of the state, with the remaining $2.5m made up of bettors crossing the border into Vermont to place their bets.
