Dan Taylor has been appointed as Paddy Power Betfair’s CEO for Europe, with Barni Evans moving in as CEO of Sportsbet, the company’s Australian arm.

Taylor, who was previously managing director of the betting firm’s operations in the UK and Ireland, takes on a newly created role, leaving him in charge of Paddy Power and Betfair brands across all channels and geographies outside of the US.

Evans takes over from Cormac Barry, who has left the industry after spending eight years leading Sportsbet following its acquisition. Having been with the company since 2001, Evans had been working as chief commercial officer.

Both men will work under the group’s new chief executive Peter Jackson.
