Online sports betting revenue in New York State, US, in April rose 4.8 per cent year-on-year, with handle up by 9.6 per cent.

The New York State Gaming Commission said revenue in the Empire State hit US$192.7m in April, up from $183.8m in April 2024.

Handle climbed from $1.96bn to $2.15bn.

Month-on-month, handle was down by 11.8 per cent from March 2025’s $2.44bn, which was close to the record of $2.48bn.

Revenue, though, was up 19.1 per cent month-on-month from March’s $161.8m.

FanDuel took top spot ahead of DraftKings for both handle and revenue in April.

The Flutter Entertainment brand’s handle was $822.5m, better than DraftKings’ $727.3m. DraftKings’ GGR was $66.8m, below FanDuel’s $84.8m.
