The final events associated with this year’s iGaming Super Show and Amsterdam Affiliate Conference take place today but the main event – two days of hustle and bustle in the noordhal at Amsterdam RAI – is over for another year.
While there were one or two dissenting voices, the clear consensus is that the event was a resounding success and, in Amsterdam, had found a popular new home.
The first day was busier than the second, as is to be expected, but footfall on both days appeared higher than in 2012. In advance, organisers announced a record 3,000 delegates were expected.
Chetu’s John Bailey felt the venue had helped the show dynamic: “We like the city and we really like the venue. It’s nice that it’s a smaller venue [than ICE] and has smaller booths, generally. Fewer booths are dominating the show floor.”
The EveryMatrix stand was as busy as any, with Ana David, sales and marketing consultant for EveryMatrix, seeing “ a lot of affiliate traffic.” It is true that the affiliate half of the show floor was busier and also home to a little more of the customary razzamatazz.
Williams Interactive’s Rory Shanahan, saw “a great response” to their managed services affiliate program launch in support of JackpotParty.be. Meanwhile, Marit von Stedingk, affiliate manager at Affiliate REPUBLIK felt the location was perhaps a factor in drawing more delegates to the event.
“The show was incredibly busy [on day one], in the morning especially. It quietened down a bit in the afternoon as many people went off to enjoy the city – which is so beautiful.”
Skrill’s James Cristal shared von Stedingk’s enthusiasm for the location: “I love Amsterdam – it’s one of the nicest cities in Europe – and the event itself was full of life.
“All our partners are here, all the big brands – which has been good for us. We’ve found lots of opportunities and will definitely come again next year,” added Cristal.
