Spiffbet has acquired the dormant casino Helmicasino.com with a view to relaunch it under a Maltese licence with a focus on Finland.
The company acquired the source code and domain for 300,000 kronor.
The casino closed earlier in the year due to changes in payment conditions, but had previously been active in Finland with a different licence.
The relaunch is “not expected to incur significant additional costs beyond marketing” and has a target launch date of December 2023.
"We really thought it was unfortunate that Helmicasino.com closed, but at the same time, we understood that it was necessary as the conditions for continuing under the existing license were no longer present,” said Spiffbet's CEO, Henrik Svensson.
“We are excited to offer the casino again to the market with a better game selection and improved payment options. As a company, Spiffbet has significantly reduced its cost level since the beginning of 2022. Now, we are focusing on increasing revenue.
“The launch of Supersnabbt.se and Helmicasino.com is a clear component of this strategy. We started with the launch of Supersnabbt.se, which looks promising, and now we continue with Helmicasino.com in Finland.”
