Entain CEO Jette Nygaard-Andersen says the group is “delivering both financially and strategically,” hailing its Q1 trading update as a “strong start” to 2023.

Net gaming revenue both online and in retail in the period between January 1 and March 31 increased by 16 per cent and 14 per cent, respectively.

Entain also reported record levels of active customers in Q1, up 19 per cent against 2022.

Group NGR climbed 15 per cent and, including its joint-ownership of BetMGM, rose to 17 per cent. BetMGM posted Q1 NGR of approximately US$470m, rising 76 per cent, with reveneu in line with 2023 guidance of between $1.8bn and $2bn.

Nygaard-Andersen added: “Looking ahead, we remain confident that our customer focus, diversification and proven ability to grow organically and through M&A will enable us to demonstrate further progress against our strategy.”
