Local police from the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security have raided the premises of an offshore i-gaming ring that generated over $23.6m, reports Vietnam's Tuoitrenews.

It has been reported that five defendants have been charged with organising gambling and two more with gambling.
A police spokesman said that the alleged ring leader was among those arrested.
In residential searches associated with the gambling raid, police officials reportedly seized "...tens of thousands of US dollars, hundreds of millions of dong, many computers and other equipment, and a lot of books of accounts related to gambling."
According to the report, police are currently expanding their investigation to track down others involved in the large-scale gambling ring.
