Paddy Power has withdrawn its support of former NBA star Dennis Rodman’s visits to North Korea.

In a brief statement, the bookmaker - which has a reputation for imaginative pranks and media campaigns - said it does not want to be "associated" with the military dictatorship of Kim Jong-un, who appears to have struck up an unlikely friendship with former Chicago Bulls forward Rodman.
"It was really a reaction to the worldwide focus and total condemnation of the North Korean regime over recent events," Paddy Power said in a statement.
"We don't want to be associated with that."
