Mobile sports betting in North Carolina, US, generated almost US$650m in operator revenue across the state’s latest financial year.

The June revenue report from the North Carolina State Lottery Commission showed total betting revenue from July 2024 to June 2025 reached $647.7m.
That figure came from total wagers of $6.6bn across the 12 months in question. Tax proceeds for the financial year hit $116.6m.
It is the first full financial year data for mobile sports betting in North Carolina since the state regulated the vertical in March 2024.
For the latest month’s figures, sports betting handle in June was $433.2m, which was a decline of 17.6 per cent from June 2024’s $525.5m.
Revenue in June was $58.1m, down eight per cent year-on-year from $63.1m.
Month-on-month, handle dropped 23 per cent from $562.2m, while revenue fell 11 per cent from $65.2m.
Tax proceeds also declined 11 per cent from May’s $11.7m to $10.5m in June.
