Mobile sports betting revenue in New York State, US, rose 20.4 per cent year-on-year across the 2024-25 financial year.

After the New York State Gaming Commission reported March 2025 revenue of US$161.8m, the total from April 2024 to March 2025 reached $2.1bn, rising from $1.8bn in the 2023-24 financial year.

Total handle across the year also rose 20.4 per cent from $19.9bn to $23.9bn.

For the latest month, handle rose 16.3 per cent year-on-year to $2.4bn, up from $2.1bn in March 2024 but not quite beating January 2025’s record of $2.48bn.

Month-on-month, mobile betting handle in the Empire State rose 23.5 per cent from February’s $1.98bn.

As for GGR, year-on-year the figure fell 3.1 per cent from $166.97m in March 2024 to $161.8m in the latest reporting period.

GGR dropped 12.4 per cent month-on-month from February 2025’s $184.8m.
