The US state of New York has once again broken its record for online sports betting revenue, which reached US$248.9m in May.

The latest gross gaming revenue (GGR) figure provided by the New York State Gaming Commission beats the previous best of $247m set in January this year by 0.8 per cent.
May’s mobile sports betting handle in the Empire State was $2.21bn, down 10.8 per cent from $2.48bn in January.
Year-on-year, mobile sports betting handle rose 12.1 per cent from $1.97bn in April.
GGR jumped 22.4 per cent from May 2024’s $203.3m.
