Through a licensing agreement with Studiocanal, Microgaming is to release an online slot based on the 1991 hit film Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
The sequel to the 1984 cult smash Terminator again starred Arnold Schwarzenegger in his most famous role and featured groundbreaking special effects which helped “T2" to four Oscars.
Launching this summer, the T2 online slot will be a 243 ways-to-win game that expands to 1,024 ways-to-win during the free spins feature, triggered by three or more Time Travel Orb symbols.
Roger Raatgever, Microgaming CEO, said: “We are incredibly excited to be developing an online slot around the Terminator 2 movie – it is a brand that has mass appeal and lends itself perfectly to the world of online gaming.
“As explosive as the film, we are in the process of creating an action-packed, jaw-dropping slot; it’s a classic in the making.”
Rand Marlis, president of Creative Licensing Corporation, which represents Studiocanal for Terminator 2 licensing, said: “Microgaming has vast experience in licensing brands and we have every confidence that the Terminator 2 online slot will be a massive success.”
Microgaming will be previewing the game at ICE 2014 in London (February 4-6) at stand number N11-120.
