The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has issued a cease-and-desist order to BetUS, which it says is illegally offering igaming and sports betting to the US state’s residents.

The regulator said the operator is only licensed in the Comoros Union (Mwali) and is not accredited to offer its services in Michigan.
The MGCB said its investigations found BetUS was accepting wagers from residents on sports and casino-style games.
“Unlicensed operators like BetUS undermine the integrity of Michigan’s regulated gaming market and expose consumers to potential risks,” said Henry Williams, MGCB executive director.
“The MGCB is committed to protecting Michigan residents by ensuring that all gambling activities are conducted legally and responsibly.”
The MGCB has given BetUS 14 days to “immediately halt all operations” in Michigan, or face potential legal action.
