Peter Jackson has officially taken the reins as betting firm Paddy Power Betfair’s new CEO, succeeding Breon Corcoran.

Jackson (42) steps into the role from a previous position as chief executive of payments company Worldpay UK. He earlier held a similar position at foreign exchange firm Travelex after holding senior positions in the banking sector.
The announcement of Corcoran’s impending departure last year saw shares in Paddy Power Betfair dip by almost five per cent at one stage. The bookmaker reported a nine per cent rise in revenues in the first half of 2017, with EBITDA up by seven per cent, but online revenue was down three per cent. Underlying earnings as a whole over 2017 are expected to be in the range of £445m-£465m.
