Indiana posted US$42.8m in sports betting revenue for March 2023, continuing a trend of strong results.

As reported by SportsHandle, It is the fourth-highest revenue total for the Hoosier State and the biggest since October, with handle of $433m the state’s eighth-best effort.

Amid the NCAA March Madness bonanza, basketball pulled in the highest number of bets in Indiana last month at $224.3m, with American football down at just $1.6m after the conclusion of the NFL season.

Indiana's land-based casinos generated just over $4m in sports betting tax, with Ameristar Casino – which accounted for the most handle with $147.5m – paid $1.3m in tax.

As for online sports betting operators in Indiana, DraftKings and FanDuel led the way in March with handle of $144.2m and $136m, respectively.
