IGT has signed a deal with mobile and social technology company Joingo to launch a mobile app.
The app, which is produced using Joingo’s platform, will be IGT’s first US customer-facing mobile brand application and will provide players with immediate access to real-time jackpot levels and information on MegaJackpots products.
Using location awareness, the app supplies geographically relevant details for featured games, where to play, winners and more. “With identical stand-alone apps utilising ‘push’ technology for iPhone, Android and Blackberry, plus mobile web and MMS/SMS for feature phones, IGT can seamlessly reach 99 per cent of mobile users, an exceptional feat in the very fragmented mobile domain,” commented Steve Boyle, CEO of Joingo.
Players will be able to access more information on their favourite games, to interact and to provide feedback through the app’s connectivity with Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
