Total gaming revenue in Pennsylvania rose 8.7 per cent year-on-year in May to US$521m, steered by a 23.5 per cent rise in gross igaming revenue.

Online casino gaming generated $174.1m in May revenue, up from $141m in May 2023. A sports betting revenue rise of 7.6 per cent to $44.2m also contributed to the overall jump in revenue.
Sports betting handle, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said, climbed 19.4 per cent above May 2023’s figure of $495.6m to $591.9m in the latest reporting period.
In the land-based sector, retail slot machines and retail table games revenue both posted revenue rises of 1.6 per cent and 2.5 per cent, respectively, to $214.1m and $83.7m.
The taxable revenue figure for May was $44.2m, 7.5 per cent higher than the $41.1m of May 2023.
