Sports betting platform provider Kambi said there was never any doubt that it would have a stand at ICE this year.
It added that the footfall traffic and interest from media companies and investors was very encouraging and showed the industry was recovering strongly from the past two years.
Having acquired the esports odds and data specialist Abios in August 2021, Kambi said that it was glad it was able to showcase the group’s esports-focused products to contacts and clients at the event.
The group has been highly active in the US in recent months. It launched a new bet builder, or in-game parlay, product for the new MLB season that started on April 7 and will also be launching a bet builder product for the NBA season to complement those it has already launched for the NFL and NHL.
The group also announced a multi-year agreement with US sports betting and lifestyle brand MaximBet in January. The sportsbook is live in the state of Colorado and will be launching with Kambi in at least five additional US states - Indiana, Iowa, New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania - and in Canada in 2022.
In addition to having obtained an Ontario licence in readiness for the province opening earlier this month, Kambi will be launching the online sports betting platform of North Star Gaming, the parent company of daily newspaper the Toronto Star.
