Just weeks after its licence was revoked by Alderney Gambling Control Commission, it has been reported that Full Tilt Poker has been granted a secondary gaming licence by the gaming jurisdiction of Kahnawake.

It is a controversial move that sees many Full Tilt players still left unpaid. It is estimated that millions of dollars are owed to its players who have been unable to withdraw funds since Black Friday.

A statement issued on Friday by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission regarding the application to renew said: "To maintain a secondary licence, a licensee must maintain a valid licence to operate interactive gaming that has been issued by a comparable jurisdiction. Accordingly, the Commission is closely monitoring the proceedings being conducted by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission concerning the egambling licences held by Full Tilt. The AGCC has confirmed to the Commission that, although the egambling licences held by Full Tilt are presently suspended pending the outcome of a hearing, these licences are still considered to be valid."

It was reported last month that Full Tilt Poker was negotiating an acquisition deal with a group of unidentified European investors.
