Esports Entertainment Group has signed a letter of binding intent to acquire a 30 per cent minority interest in esports content producer Drafted.gg.

Alex Igleman, CEO of EEG said the deal is a “first step in a broader planned collaboration.”
The Czech Republic-based company currently provides popular esports titles in esoccer, ebasketball and ecricket.
It operates studios in Prague and the United Arab Emirates, with matches streamed on YouTube and Twitch.
“This transaction supports Esports Entertainment’s strategy to embed wagerable content into our expanding esports and igaming offering,” Igleman said.
He added that based off the first phase of EEG and Drafted.gg’s collaboration, EEG would soon look to acquire the remaining 70 per cent of its partner company.
“We firmly believe that the vast array of content—comprising thousands of short-cycle games available each month, with the majority concluding in eight minutes or less—will be well received by esports bettors in the US. We are also confident in our ability to successfully onboard Drafted.gg content with leading US sportsbooks,” Igleman said.
