The team responsible for staging ICE Conferences, EiG, GiGse and the WrB series has been working closely with the Brazilian authorities to organise and host the first Brazilian Gaming Congress.

The ‘by invitation only’ event will be held on November 18-20, 2013, in Rio de Janeiro. The show will provide international companies an opportunity to engage with the Brazilian government as the country is reviewing its stance on regulating online sports betting in advance of the country hosting the 2014 FIFA World Cup, followed by the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Kate Chambers, who is responsible for Clarion’s portfolio of highly regarded gaming conferences, in addition to ICE Totally Gaming, the world’s biggest gaming exhibition, said: “Our aim is to be gaming’s event organiser of choice and to be able to host Brazil’s key institutional influencers, such as SEAE and Caixa, at the Brazilian Gaming Congress speaks volumes for the quality of work undertaken by the team across all of our gaming brands.

“Brazil is a very significant market on different levels. Economically and socially it has a growing, affluent middle class and politically there is now the will to debate the benefits of regulation and to hear the best practice in regulating and operating gaming from around the world.”
