Reporting on its results for the year to June 30, TABCORP Holdings of Australia records that as much as 20 per cent of its betting turnover is coming from the mobile telephone operations and tablets.

However, the company reported a drop in net profits to A$340 (US$359.3m) from A$534.8m (US$564.7m) in the previous year.

This is principally through the demerger of its casinos business last year. The company’s profits were 12.7 per cent higher because of lower interest and underlying earnings.
