Loto-Québec subsidiary Société du Jeu Virtuel du Québec (SJVQ) has accepted Amaya Gaming Group's proposal to provide content for its poker and gaming site, Espace-jeux.
Amaya is one of the authorised providers chosen by Loto-Québec through a detailed request for proposal process. It was selected on the basis of its depth of online content and experience which has recently been enhanced as the result of the acquisition of Chartwell Technology in July. The Chartwell subsidiary specialises in the development of gaming platforms and content for the internet, wireless and other remote access devices. It has over 140 proprietary and branded online casino games and is on track to deliver a total of 39 new games to customers this year.
"This is an important milestone for Amaya, as it is our first opportunity to provide online content to a North American gaming website," said David Baazov, president and CEO of Amaya Gaming Group. "We are pleased to be expanding our footprint in the growing regulated online gaming space, as well as strengthening our relationship with Loto-Québec."
