IN the UK, lotteries are regulated by the UK Gambling Commission to ensure that they are used to raise funds for good causes. 

Thanks to changes to lottery regulation, which come into force on April 6, 2016, commercial sports and entertainment events providers can engage with lotteries in new ways as part of their CSR programmes. This has the potential to maximise visibility of fundraising for good causes to large crowds at, for example, a professional football match or arena concert, without requiring a licence from the UKGC.
