The Star Entertainment Group has confirmed that Steve McCann’s appointment as the new group CEO and managing director has been confirmed.
The company has now received all regulatory approvals for the appointment, first announced in July, and McCann will begin the role on December 2.
Acting group CEO Neale O’Connell will cease in his role on that date, but will continue as interim group CFO until the appointment of someone to the permanent role.
“I am very pleased to be working closely with Steve McCann and to formally welcome him as group chief executive officer and managing director at this critical time for The Star,” said Anne Ward, chairman of The Star.
