Players at Slotland's WinADay.com online casino are increasingly going back to basics and choosing its new Slot-O-Matic slot machine.
In its first week, Slot-O-Matic was played 30 per cent more than the next most popular game on the site, Wheeler Dealer video poker. The game has consistently attracted a high number of players, which the company attributes to a desire to take a break from more complex multi-playline games.
"Our lead programmer came up with the idea that we should design a simple slot machine, one that would evoke the 80s and the first computer games but still be in keeping with WinADay’s contemporary style," explained Slotland’s Ondrej Tuma.
"From the first idea to launch was only one month. Then, overnight, it became the most played machine at WinADay Casino. Almost every player has tried this new slot machine at least once."
Slot-O-Matic is one of a number of instant-play games on the WinADay.com site linked to a progressive jackpot, which currently stands at $150,000.
