The final day as chairman of the Jersey Gambling Commission for Graham White, will be October 1, as he completes his statutory 10 years in the role.
During that time White has helped the island to prepare and establish a role in the online gambling industry as a credible jurisdiction, laying the foundations of gambling regulation and setting in place the many layers of responsibility to set Jersey on the road to compete with the likes of Gibraltar, Malta, Alderney and the Isle of Man.
A former Gaming Board of Great Britain chief inspector, White, who was awarded an OBE - Order of the British Empire - for services to international gambling regulation, intends to “remain active” and is already considering several opportunities in international gaming regulation.
