The Gaming Standards Association has said it is making “rapid progress” in establishing a universal online gaming standard for the industry.

The GSA’s Online Gaming Committee is to hold meetings in London on April 9 and 10, 2014, hosted by Playtech.

Playtech technical consultant and chair of the committee Valery Gelfman said: “A successful online gaming operation requires multiple integrations with third parties including external content providers, monitoring authorities and, in many cases, bricks-and-mortar operations.”

Ethan Tower, GSA’s protocol director, added: “The new standard will provide support for third-party gaming interfaces, external interfaces, including geolocation and payment processors and central monitoring for regulators.”
