According to news agency Reuters, Jette Nygaard-Andersen is set to take control at Entain, following the departure of CEO Shay Segev and at a time of an acquisition move by US sports betting partner MGM.
Entain, the new name for GVC (Bwin, Ladbrokes, Coral and other brands), is in advanced talks with Nygaard-Andersen as the next CEO.
Entain has just rejected a $11bn bid from MGM Resorts, reckoning that it was way below what the UK group is worth.
Nygaard-Andersen is already a non-executive director at Entain, but the group is likely to announce her elevation early this week, says Reuters, quoting Sky News.
