Blackstone has announced it has made a strategic minority equity investment of €175m in Romania-based omni-channel sports betting and gaming operator Superbet.

The terms of the transaction, made by funds managed or advised by Blackstone’s tactical opportunities business, have not been disclosed.

Superbet, which has over 1200 shops in Romania and Poland, is currently developing an online sports betting platform with a launch due in late 2019.
