Sportingbet has signed a multi-year licensing agreement with gaming software supplier GameAccount Network, strengthening the long-standing commercial relationship.

Sportingbet is taking full advantage of the critical mass of player liquidity for non-poker skill games resident within the GameAccount Network pooling together customers from many of Europe’s leading online sportsbook operators.

“GameAccount has been providing games to Sportingbet since 2004 and their software today generates a material proportion of net gaming revenue for our casino and games business by offering leading browser-based games software with a particular strength in person-to-person skill games, tournaments and localisation for European markets. This deal ensures our players enjoy ongoing access to one of the largest communities of skill games players in Europe and fits with our strategy of providing our customers with the best possible experience as a result,” says Jim Wilkinson, group finance director at Sportingbet.

Dermot Smurfit, COO of GameAccount Network, said: “Our network-wide tournaments allow all licensees to offer better-value tournaments compared to any stand-alone operator. A non-download professional quality backgammon product capable of catering to a wide variety of recreational and serious punters is a must-have for all sportsbook operators offering a full portfolio of egaming products.”
