Sportech Racing, a division of Sportech, has signed a three-year extension of the totalisator services agreement with all horse racing tracks, racing fairs and OTB networks in California.

Sportech has provided wagering technologies and services to the California horse racing industry for two decades. During the term of the current agreement, Sportech developed the Quantum Data Center, a facility located in Sacramento, California, custom-built to service the pari-mutuel wagering industry, upgraded the California wagering system to the latest Quantum System, replaced all wagering terminals in California with the new BetJet Series terminals and provided new display boards.

More recently, Sportech has implemented an on-track mobile wagering solution at Del Mar and at Santa Anita and has worked with Southern California Off-Track Wagering to develop off-track betting venues known as mini-satellites in card clubs, sports bars and restaurants.

David Haslett, managing director of Sportech Racing, commented: "We look forward to supporting a successful Breeders' Cup at Santa Anita Park in 2012 and 2013 and will continue to work with the industry to develop mini-satellite wagering facilities throughout California to expand distribution and make betting on horse racing widely available to many more new and current fans."
