The Singapore government is considering measures to restrict online gambling by limiting access to gambling websites, a government minister said last week.

Speaking at the Casino Regulatory Authority's annual workplan seminar on Friday, May 10, S Iswaran - a minister of the prime minister's office - said the Singapore government is concerned with the easy accessibility of illegal online gambling in the country.

Singapore inaugurated two casino resorts in 2010, at the same time establishing an entry levy for local residents and citizens. The city state is now one of the world’s largest casino gaming markets.
