Scientific Games has announced it will partner with Caesars to provide its OpenBet sports book platform in New Jersey and Mississippi, as it aims to help the corporation capitalise on the opening-up of sports betting in the US.

Caesars' Atlantic City, Gulf Coast, and Tunica properties are all affected in a move that Scientific Games’ president and CEO Barry Cottle feels is a “pivotal” deal in shaping the overall sports betting landscape in the country.
Cottle said: " Together, we will usher in a new era for gaming in the US and welcome thousands of new players into the sports betting market. With OpenBet, our powerful and robust sportsbook platform, Caesars will have a truly open platform and end-to-end product suite that delivers the very best and flexible solutions.
“Our SG Digital team is excited to help Caesars build for the future, as they expand their sports betting across land-based, digital and mobile platforms into newly regulated markets."
OpenBet manages more than 2bn online bets annually and in the recent World Cup, Scientific Games' platform processed over 177m bets in the UK.
