Global Gaming subsidiary SafeEnt, which runs online casino Ninja Casino, is to appeal the decision of the Swedish regulator to revoke its licence for commercial online gambling and betting.

The decision, which came into immediate effect this week, has seen the company discontinue its operations in the country.
However, Global Gaming’s acting CEO Tobias Fagerlund described the decision as “odd” and said it would cause the company “significant damage” and has launched an appeal.
Fagerlund said: “The information from the Gaming Authority came unexpected due to the company being under the impression that we comply with the regulations which the new legislation has set on gaming operators in Sweden. That they come up with this decision is odd.
“It is the company’s and the legal advisors’ impression that all demands to hold a licence are complied with. The company’s legal team is under the firm impression that the Gaming Authority’s decision lacks support in Gaming Law and therefore the decision will be appealed.”
