An interim report for the first quarter of the year, the period of January to March 2019, has yielded positive results for Kindred Group.
The company has seen gross winnings revenue amount to £224.4m, an increase of eight per cent. Gross winnings revenue from the Swedish market amounted to SEK207.4m, after deduction of bonuses of SEK137.9m.
Underlying EBITDA was £30.6m, with profit before tax amounting to £17.7m. Profit after tax was £15.1m. Earnings per share were £0.067 and the number of active customers was 1,631,636.
“During the quarter, we have had strong levels of activity across all markets and all-time highs in active customers and sports betting turnover,” said Henrik Tjärnström, CEO of Kindred Group. “This is the result of our continued investment in marketing, where focus has been in relation to responsible gambling in Sweden and football sponsorships in the UK.”
